I have recently re-designed the cover for Royal Institute of Magic! Though I liked the old one, I felt it didn’t appeal to the Middle Grade audience as much as it could. I thought the main character (Ben) looked far too old, and there wasn’t a lot going on in the picture that told you much about the story. What I did like, however, was how clear the spellshooter was.

The new cover conveys the feel of the story more, their discovery and wonderment at the Royal Institute of Magic. It still has the spellshooter, as well as the Dragonway in the background, and a really nice picture of the Institute. I like it, anyway! Let me know what you think.
Thanks Lolly! I’m glad both you and your granddaughter enjoyed the book. It’s nice to hear people of all ages reading it. =)
I got this book so that my 11 year old granddaughter and I could read it together. She read it straight through the day she received it. She loved the story and the action. It took me two days to read it. What an exciting adventure!! We can’t wait for Book 2.
As to the cover choices, I definitely like the second one better. It shows the magic and draws you in. Great job!
I agree. That’s what I was aiming for, so it’s good to hear. =)
I like the second one best, seems to create more of the wonder and magic that is displayed in the book. Great book! Impatiently waiting for the second one!
Thanks Sheri. =)
I like both versions. And your book was wonderful! I can’t wait to read book two in the series!!
