Hello!

Darren here, Vic’s younger brother, sending a very belated message to all you wonderful Royal Institute of Magic lovers out there. It has now been 5 years since I helped my brother complete and publish The High Council, to bring his incredible series to a fitting end, and I realised I haven’t written to you since then! I do apologise, and aim to be more in touch.

I wanted to say thank you to all those who have written a review for The High Council. It makes a huge difference in keeping the series going, as any new readers out there see it is a complete series, and the final instalment a good one. I wish Vic had been here to finish it and know without a doubt it would have been much better if he had. After all, it was his creation! At the same time I hope wherever Vic is, he is proud of The High Council.

Special Message

Okay, it’s been 6 years since Vic left and every year that goes by I think to myself, how can I make the end of each year a celebration of my brother’s life, not a time to dread? Last year, I decided enough was enough. Vic would never have wanted me to wallow in his passing; it just wasn’t his way. I thought to myself, what can I do?

I came up with an idea which I think Vic would have really appreciated. Between now and Vic’s birthday (18 December) I will share the idea with you. After all, as his readers, I think you’ll appreciate it more than anyone else!
